Question 1

What standard does ADA Safe Check test against?

Accepted Answer

Scans run the industry-standard axe-core engine against WCAG 2.1 Level AA automated checks. This covers the objective, code-level success criteria that can be tested automatically; the rest of WCAG requires manual review.

Question 2

Do I need to be a developer to use it?

Accepted Answer

No. Install the browser extension, open any page, and press Run Compliance Scan. Results appear as an on-page overlay with each fix written in plain language.

Question 3

Is automated testing enough for full ADA compliance?

Accepted Answer

No tool can certify legal compliance. Automated tooling reliably catches a large share — roughly 57% per a Deque study of axe-core — of accessibility issues, specifically the objective, code-level failures. ADA Safe Check is the fastest, cheapest first pass, and it should be paired with manual keyboard and screen-reader review for full conformance.

Question 4

Does my website's content get uploaded anywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. The scan runs entirely inside your browser against the live page. No page content, URL list, or finding list leaves your device. Paid license activation sends only a license key and a random device ID to the licensing server.

Question 5

What is in the exported report?

Accepted Answer

A PDF audit containing an accessibility score, severity breakdown, violation categories, per-element remediation guidance, a dated remediation roadmap, and a scope-and-methodology section. It is documentation for your team and stakeholders — not a legal compliance certificate.

Question 6

Can I use it on client sites if I run an agency?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Agency plan is built for multi-domain workflows with consistent, branded reports you can hand to clients or their teams.

Question 7

How is this different from a free accessibility checklist?

Accepted Answer

Checklists tell you what might be wrong. ADA Safe Check measures what is actually detectable on the exact page you are shipping, scores it against the automated rules, and produces a dated record of what failed.
